In this Mid-Weight Graphic Designer (Mat Cover) role, you will be responsible for working with the Content Manager and Content Team to develop creative for all marketing campaigns including but not limited to – brand projects, promotion, advertising, internal comms and digital.

Main Duties And Responsibilities

  • Create content, campaigns and creativity across all channels for the Marketing Team and wider business
  • Concept key campaign moments and have an understanding of how designs will translate across digital and in-store
  • Be commercially aware of trends and themes in design, that can help shape and develop the brand
  • Own assigned creative projects, presenting design options and staying close to feedback from the briefer
  • Post-production of raw photoshoot imagery and video content for our digital network including websites, social platforms, strategic partners and occasionally print
  • Confident using After Effects to create animated content
  • Work collaboratively with the marketing team to generate ideas and respond to the needs of the marketing team and wider business
  • Work to specific briefs and meet demanding deadlines from across the business
  • Collaborate with the photography team on weekly content for digital
    Maintain strong rapport with other departments including wider marketing, PR, VM and Ecommerce to ensure awareness of all campaign and content requirements
  • Be an Ambassador for schuh, communicating our brand DNA confidently on both internal and external projects to reflect the Style Guide
  • Understand and comply with the Company’s Health & Safety policy and procedures
  • Work with own initiative and as part of the wider team
    Carry out further duties as required by the Company


  • Commercially aware of trends and themes in design, to help shape and develop the brand
  • Proficient in Adobe CC for both print and digital projects, with the ability to make animated video assets for film edits and social media content
